A stunning period maisonette set over three floors with a private entrance and a secluded garden this apartment is a charming and stylish base from which to explore London.

Just recently refurbished the apartment is chock full of period features and modern conveniences. Many of the furnishings and textiles are antique, and the finish throughout is super-chic.

There are two beautiful double bedrooms on the top floor, though the apartment can comfortably sleep six people as there is a double sofa bed in the living room. All linens are provided.

The bathrooms are sleek with luxurious contemporary fittings. There is a "wetroom" shower room on the top floor and a bathroom on the first floor. Both have fluffy towels keeping warm on heated towel rails.

The living room and kitchen are separated by impressive antique double doors which make the space very versatile, close them to make the living room a comfortable sleeping area, or open them up for modern open plan living. The living room is equipped with a working gas coal fire, TV and DVD player making it perfect for cosy nights in. The kitchen is fully fitted with energy efficient appliances, including a dishwasher, and the washer dryer is tucked out of the way in a separate laundry area on the ground floor.

If the English summer permits there is a built in barbeque in the garden plus a couple of hammocks to string up between the trees, to really take it easy.

Islington is a vibrant and charming area - one of London's few remaining "villages". Upper Street is packed with buzzy bars, delicious restaurants and fabulous shops.

The apartment is located very close to Highbury Corner and excellent transport links, making this apartment the perfect place to start from (It is a great base for exploring the city and further afield.)You can take a trip to some of England’s greatest treasures, such as Windsor, Oxford, Cambridge or Stratford Upon Avon.

For access to central London Highbury and Islington underground station (Victoria Line, Silverlink) is just a minute’s walk away, and there is a bus stop (Routes 4, 19, 30, 277) even closer. Also within walking distance are Angel underground station (Northern Line), Holloway Road underground station (Piccadilly Line) and Essex Road overland station.

Rail access is fantastic, Kings Cross St Pancras and Euston are about 4km away and Victoria, Waterloo, Paddington and Liverpool Street are all easy to reach on the underground.

London City is the closest airport, but the rail links to Luton (via St Pancras), Stanstead (via Liverpool Street), Heathrow (via Paddington) and Gatwick (via London Bridge or Victoria) make all of these airports easily accessible.
